What we paint and decorate

One room or a whole house, inside or out. If it needs preparing, filling, sanding and painting properly, it is what we do every day.

Interior painting and decorating

Walls, ceilings, coving and woodwork brought back to a flat, even finish. We fill, sand and caulk before a drop of paint goes on, because that is the part you see for the next ten years.

What Swansea homeowners say

Unedited reviews from people whose houses we have painted. The same three things come up every time: tidy, punctual, and easy to have in the house.

5.0 Average rating from customer reviews

My whole house has just been fully decorated by Jay and his team. Meticulous work in every room, immaculate in how they left my home each day. Very punctual and efficient with their time.

Whilst here they were all very polite and respectful that I was in my home whilst some of the painting was carried out. Not once did I have any concerns regarding leaving my key with them so they could start work if I was elsewhere occupied.

This is a company I would highly recommend (which I have already done so) to family and friends. Thank you Jay for leaving what feels like now a new bright home.

Donna BatesFull house repaint

I’ve worked with JAC (Jay and team) a couple of times now and they have always been superb. They quote well, agree dates, turn up on time (politely waiting outside until it reaches the time we agreed), very patiently moving ladders for teens who keep going in and out, tidy up well etc etc. Even in 34 degrees heat they were working and never once complained.

Oh, and the decorating is great too! An absolute credit to their trade. My only slight hesitation about recommending them is that it becomes harder for me to use them again in the future because they will be booked up. Thank you again gents, an absolutely brilliant service as always.

Chantal HannellRepeat customer

I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Jay and the lads were really professional and friendly. The work was carried out quickly and to a very high standard. Communication was fantastic too! Will definitely use this company again.

Questions people ask before booking

If yours is not here, ring 01792 223043 and ask. We would rather answer it now than have you wondering.

How much does a painter and decorator in Swansea cost?

It depends on the size of the room or property, how much preparation the surfaces need, and the finish you want. A single bedroom is a very different job to a four-bedroom house inside and out. Rather than guess, we come out, measure up and give you one fixed written price covering materials and labour — free, and with no obligation to book.

Do you charge for a quote?

No. Quotes are free and there is no pressure afterwards. If the price is not right for you, that is completely fine — we would far rather you were comfortable with it.

How soon can you start?

It varies with the time of year, and we are often booked a few weeks ahead — exterior work especially fills up over the summer. Ring as early as you can and we will tell you honestly what dates we have. Small jobs can sometimes be slotted in sooner.

Will you protect my furniture and floors?

Always. Dust sheets go down and furniture is moved and covered before any filling or sanding starts, and we sweep and tidy at the end of every day. Several of our reviews mention it, and it is the part we are most particular about.

Can you work while we are living in the house?

Yes, and most of our work is in occupied homes. We agree an order of rooms so you always have somewhere usable, keep noise and mess contained, and work around school runs and work-from-home days where we can.

Do you do exterior painting as well as interiors?

Yes. Render, pebbledash, masonry, garden and retaining walls, fascias, soffits, gutters, front doors and window surrounds. Exteriors are weather-dependent, so we book them with a bit of flexibility and keep you updated if rain moves the dates.

Do you hang wallpaper?

Yes — feature walls, full rooms, lining paper, and stripping old paper and making the walls good underneath. Heavy patterned and textured papers are no problem.

How many coats do you put on?

Two full coats as standard on walls and ceilings, over properly prepared and, where needed, primed surfaces. Strong colour changes and bare plaster sometimes need an extra coat, and if they do we tell you at the quote stage rather than after.

Can you help me choose colours?

Happily. We will tell you how a colour is likely to behave in your room once the light changes through the day, and we are always glad to get test patches up before you commit.

Which parts of Swansea do you cover?

All of Swansea and the Gower — including Uplands, Sketty, Mumbles, Killay, Dunvant, Gowerton, Gorseinon, Loughor, Morriston, Llansamlet, Clydach, Bishopston and Pontarddulais. If you are just outside, ring and ask.
